Napier Friends Impact
Napier Friends operates sessions and activities in communities across East Kent. We support over 100 people each week through weekly sessions in Dover, Canterbury, Folkestone, Thanet and Ashford; casework support and volunteering and community enagagment activities throughout the week.
We offer English groups, chess club, gardening groups, and access to barber equipment, tailoring equipment and computers as well as providing information, advocacy and signposting. We run a cooking course teaching people basic cooking skills, and facilitating a support and social group for LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum. We also support up to 100 opportunities to volunteer and join activities in the local community every week. Our buddy scheme is paused for new matches until we manage to increase our capacity through obtaining funding for this service, and made 167 matches since May We
